Thursday Update #5: Animations

Hello all, I'm going to jump right into it (Pun Intended) and say this week has been a slow week for Blackwarden.


For those of you who don't know, my fiancé and I went for a trip out of state for a long weekend. On the way out, we got into a car accident. We're okay, have some soreness but nothing serious. Needless to say, it was a busy weekend. After we got home, I think I slept for an entire day. I use a lap desk for work, but the way I usually use it was hurting my ribs so I didn't get too much done this week. I'm feeling better now, so hopefully it won't bother me too much longer.


What I did do this week was get back into the habit of animation work. I have some to do with the blocking and shields yet, but here for my show-and-tell I have my framework for the jumping animation. I think it'll work well, because I won't have to redraw any weapons or shields (I don't think) and I'll be able to use pieces of the chest from things I've already done. So I won't have to start from scratch like the previous ones, which will save me a ton of work.


I'm hoping I can finish the blocking animations this week, and move on to the jump that you see. After that, I have death animations and weapon special activation animations to do, then I think the Player animations are done.
