Thursday Update #22: Background Update

So I finally have something to show. As a heads up the colors aren't finalized because I'm going to adjust them after everything is made, and the sky/ground was just hastily painted in in about two minutes so it wasn't all just washed out green.


The backgrounds are taking longer than I anticipated, because the quick and fast version I did I scrapped. Almost like I just kinda slapped it together. The different colored parts will move at different speeds as the character runs, and so far I think I'm going to have 5 different components to make up the background. The things you see here are the mid level components. Closer things will have more detail and more vibrant colors.


That's it for this week, just doing backgrounds. Our week here has been very eventful, so hopefully things calm down a bit. Luckily, these pieces I'm making will be able to be reused, and I think the other backgrounds will be a bit easier for the most part. Pixel trees took a bit to learn, and while I don't think I'm very proficient they do get the job done for now. See you next week.
