The Thursday Update #1

Hey all, more information on the the game... I'm going to try to post about it every Thursday from now on, so if you're curious as to what I've been working on you can find out here!


This week, what have I been doing... Music is pretty much finished, save for some Title screen music and shop music. Though I anticipate those to be quite a bit easier to do than the level and boss tracks. (A special thanks to Sojurn and Funkifresh for the advice (You know who you are.)) Worked on the blocking animations a bit, the shield designs in both the idle/running positions and the blocking up-and-ready position are now finished, so that's exciting. Still have some work to do, but there's light at the end of the tunnel for block frame 1, and then it's on to the others (I think there are three different frames for the block animation, but I decided I was done looking at it for today so that's a guess.)


For the showcase this week, I have the very first enemy I finished: The panther. Right now, Panther is planned to be in Stage 2 along side some other angry forest critters and a guy that throws spears, because not alot of animals have ranged attacks coincidentally. No animations for the enemies yet, I really want to get the player animations done first, but I don't think anyone will mind all that much.
